TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – August 1, 2013 – Command and Control Technologies Corporation has completed development of a GPS metric track simulation system for InDyne, Inc. and the U.S. Air Force 30th Space Wing at Vandenberg Air Force Base to test and validate Western Range telemetry processing systems and support range safety training and analysis. Based on CCT’s commercial TelSim™ product, the new GPS telemetry simulator allows range personnel to control and vary the content of simulated telemetry streams to emulate failures, data anomalies, and other operational patterns not possible with conventional playback of recorded telemetry from past flights.
“Our unique TelSim™ product gives customers a new way of generating test data for telemetry systems,” said Greg Hupf, CCT Principal Engineer. “They can model a variety of flight conditions to produce the telemetry streams that would actually be generated under those conditions.”
TelSim™ is an integrated model based telemetry simulator that separates telemetry processing details from the simulation environment, making mission scenarios easy to define and organize. Simulated data values generated by the models are converted into telemetry streams configured to match the customer’s ground receiver stations.
The Western Range GPS telemetry simulation system will be used to validate data processing systems for every mission using GPS tracking flown from the Western Range. System certification is expected to be complete by October of this year.
