TITUSVILLE, FL, 8/21/01 - The Kodiak Star mission is scheduled for launch from the Kodiak Launch Complex in southern Alaska on September 17. The launch vehicle, a Lockheed Martin Athena 1,will depart between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. ADT (9:00 - 11:00 p.m. EDT). The Kodiak Star is the first orbital mission to be launched from the Kodiak Island launch facility.
