CCT Applications - Range Control
Air, space and test ranges consist of large unpopulated test areas, instrumentation, and airborne support for test and evaluation of new technology. Flight and space test ranges provide radar, telemetry, radio, television, and timing instrumentation that are typically modified for individual test programs. These widely scattered labor intensive facilities support remote operations that are highly specialized and specific to individual missions. U.S. ranges have historically been largely independent in their operations and infrastructure policy, resulting in lack of standards and difficulty in conducting multi-range operations. However, many common infrastructure needs are found at most test ranges like telemetry, antennae and communications gear to handle growing demands of new flight technology.
The CCT product strategy supports central or distributed control of multiple surveillance, intelligence gathering, and remote control resources during live operations.
